Default Sharp aftermarket steering wheels

Anyone have a great looking aftermarket steering wheel? Especially interesting in ensuring the air bag connections work, are functional, etc.

Post up pics!

Was it easy to remove old and install new?

Want to get a nice leather airbag cover too --did your wheel come with that? If not, where to purchase?

I don’t have any recommendations. But I have always wondered about people bedazzling their airbags. What happens to covers and logo inserts when the airbag explodes? Do you want extra shrapnel flying into your face?

‘The emblem is a thing vinyl 3m decal. It has no effect on you should it go off.

On the other hand the factory cover will bruise and cut you and the propellant will burn you. I has one go off after I got run off the road. The air dam popped out after I stopped it set the bag off. It tore me up on a light damage crash.

Revesol flat bottom affordable and well made. Removing of the original have been a PITA after I broke a J hook puller I end up using a pulley puller and finally got it.

Mine is from Apsis. The wheel and the airbag cover. Not cheap by any means. My original wheel was a MAJOR PAIN IN THE *** to say the least. Tried for over 2 hours on my own with a few different pullers and wound up taking it to a body shop I used in AZ. Took him a few hours too. He wound up drilling and tapping the hub and using a regular wheel puller with large bolts. Not sure how hard he beat the thing, but it did finally give up and popped off. He said it was pretty loud when it did too. It looks great and it's part carbon fiber and not completely leather. The emblem is embroidered into the cover.

Same here, I destroyed the cheap puller I bought form the Auto Parts store. I ended up getting this GM tool and it worked great.

Revesol wheel and Overtakeauto airbag cover. Cost was a little over $500, for both.

Some good looking steering wheels so far. Make a big difference in the interior of the C5.

Overtake Auto. My factory wheel was also difficult to get off.usimg a puller. Eventually it popped. Good luck with yours when you decide on an upgrade

My interior is a combination of Redline, Apsis and Top Flight Automotive. The steering wheel is Redline and the airbag cover (and other leather trim) is Apsis and the seats from Top Flight Automotive, aka Corvette America.

Yep i especially want to get rid of the vinyl airbag cover, have something nice and subtle.

Forgot about apsis, thx for reminder. I looked into them ages ago for replacement seats for my car. Definitely not cheap. On par generally with Caravaggio for price.
