Default Bittersweet end

Will, i didn't want to start my build thread until i hit 5k miles. That was my target miles i was shooting for to see if it would hold up and to me to be a successful build in my eyes. There's been a ton of builds on here that barely make 1000 to 2000 miles for big money and the top of the line parts. Well im opposite. My goal was to use every part from the old to new. Didnt care what condition it was in. 90k miles and thousand of wot runs in the higher end of boost. Most i ran boost was 32 lbs for i don't know how many yrs. Then towards the end i lowered to 25 26 ish to not push it as hard. I have major health problem that affected me and hindered my driving ability, so there was many pauses to somewhat recuperate and go off my medies to get so miles on it and didn't end up hurting someone just to get to my goal sooner than later.
Im going to try and keep this as legible as possible. I'm just going to go in spurts just to try to go in beginning to end, hopefully. And give some entertainment. Who doesn't like entertainment and comment on some unorthodox methods that Grinder showed.. But i know most of you guys go by the book and any other way can not be done and just dumb. I lost a ton of pictures and videos but still enough to keep you guys entertainment.

First off, car was sidelined on the end of 2022. Retired it indefinitely, just lost interest and the health was catching up. After about two weeks the wife noticed something was wrong because the car was not parked in its usually spot. She knows that car doesn't sit except medical problems, weather or its broke. She asked and i told her was done and we left it there. She new that was my enjoyment except grinder and i throwing eggs at my neighbor's house and watch him get on a labber and clean it up, . So some time went by and i notice there was a change to the car and a couple seconds looking at it my smile came because she knew what i like she put a fire under my ***. The next day moved the car to start the build. Well i guess after 25yrs of marriage she knows me better than i do. My tattoos and the picture i have over my bed is a dead giveaway. Going to take a break a lot more to come.

O k guys, round two.

to this in 4 mouths
to this in 4 mouths

Like i said, i'm using all parts that came out of this engine to the new engine. Not touching or cleaning accessories.

Reusing the original stock crank from my 1999 this has 1000's of WOT, proved itself over and over why change, if it ate broke, This is my mentally with this build., stock rockers, stock 7.4 pushrods they have to be installed one way., Still going to use my stock Ls 7 lifters even though one is damaged. These were the good ones before all the fakes came out. Even though ones damaged, i do not trust any lifters made these days. All brands is a hit or miss. Not paying big money for junk.. Bought my ls7 from GM when they were $147 with tax. if i remember correctly.
Still going to use the F-1x but going to test the limits with maxing out boost. I was 32lbs but wanted to see what it will do beyond max, Per Procharge should not go past max impeller speed which is 72k and it will be unpredictable. All my blowers i pulled for max impeller speed. Why have a blower if you dont max it out. Don't get that but to each is owe. Well i had a pulley laying for at least 10yrs when i had my F-1c. So i said what hell lets see what will happen with 3.75 pulley compabled to my 4" so procharger calculation is 113k impeller speed that's pushing 41k over that threshold. ( : I cant tell how much boost i did. You guys going to have to help me there.

Iron 6.0 bored .030 over 10.25 cr
Stock wire plugs.
Stock ls2 intake and TB.
LPE heads milled .030
Had to buy new cam 610/617 223/231. 111lsa
Scat H rods
LS pistons
All arp hardware
Still using my A&A external fuel pump set, I bought this when they first came out. Can't believe the pump still works.
still using my original Alky meth kit i installed 2010. I just rebuild it for the first time.

Stock crank, not bad with only 4 oil changes seen 2004 after first build. somewhere around 90k miles. Machine shop couldnt believe it he said it didnt even need to be buffed but said go for it so you can say you buffed your crank.
Stock crank, not bad with a total of 8 oil changes seen since birth , somewhere around 150k ish miles. Machine shop couldn't believe it he said it didn't even need to be buffed but said go for it so you can say you buffed your crank.
I pasted on the buff when i saw this. LOL

Special pushrods.
Special pushrods.
Would you use this. rhetorical question.
Would you use this. rhetorical question.
And this is why. Didnt hear any unusual sounds. was pissed i was going to use the cam but i had to pass on this one.
And this is why. Didn't hear any unusual sounds. have no clue how this happen and did not destroy the lifter, but someone on here had the same issue with the cam with no ill effect. I was pissed i was going to use the cam, but i had to pass on this one.

 Stock rockers,

They siad the pumps should be rebuilt every 3yrs. So i bought a back up. pump and it has about an inch of dust on it.

This is after the rebuild.

Done for now. Still have a ton of stuff to show. A lot of videos.
Im sick of prof reading so it is what it is ,if you can understand o well.
If it ate broke dont fix it. Car was a monster why change thing now.

I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree either.

Is this supposed to be like a historical build thread?
