There are a plethora of good summer performance tires, depends on how much you want to spend and how you will use the car. Just a daily with no track time? Track time planned? Drag strip? how much you willing to spend?

just use my car for weekend street..absolutely no track or drag strip..willing to spend up to around $1K. Many tires i heard about don’t come in my size apparently. that’s why im looking for specific recommendation for my sizes.
Do a search on Tire Rack and then ask a local dealer to match the price. Previously I got Hankook V12's and more recently Michelin Pilots for my 02 vert.

which Pilots? there are literally 15 versions of summer “max performance” Pilots listed on tire rack..and do you like them? what about the Hankooks? thanks
I was very pleased with Hankook V12's because they were inexpensive and performed much better than the original Goodyear runflats. Lost the car in a hurricane flood. I went with Michelin Pilot Sports on my second C5. Happy with them but they were more expensive when I purchased them at Costso. As I recall about $1,200 installed for four over a year ago.

That's funny.....I plugged in the search parameter for a C-5 Corvette, with Michelin being a "filter" and TR showed only ONE tire, the Pilot All Season Sport 4

I've replaced my original goodyear runflats with General G-max RS and I am very pleased with them, their well wearing and at least for my needs, 'quiet' in the convertible the old ones were very very hard and very noisy. buty I don't listen to the radio or CD player ( Other than traffic info ) and quiet is important to me. These Generals are just what I needed, and I was able to use the jungle site which took car of delivery charges. Very satisfied !

"your size" is something that will fit on your wheels. You're not restricted to the exact size you're currently using. The Generals are indeed available in "your size' 245/45ZR17
Look into the 200TW tires.
I’m most likely going to go with the Nankang CR-S. Yokohama A051 would be another great option. Both of those are top dogs for Autocross and other events that require a min of 200tw.
Falken and Bridgestone also have some great options.
I’m running some Yokohama Advan 601s which are 280TW rated. In a non competitive environment I’m not sure the others are worth the downside of less wear.
My setup is a 265-18 front at a 305-19 rear double adjust coilovers.
