Went down to the plant on 2/10 and 2/11 and watched my EB Z06 go down the line. The workers at the plant were great and very friendly. When they found out that they were working on your car they would tell you what a great car the Corvette was and often put you to work helping them do their job. Got to see the process pretty much from the begining to the end. I put the wheels on, gas in it, help with the hood and headlight doors, fluids, etc and did the first start at 7:10 AM. It drove off the line around 8:30 AM. It was a great experience. The workers really care about producing a quality automobile. I did it in 2000 for the FRC, but this time it was even more interactive. GM is to be commended for allowing this to take place. It adds a great deal to the buying experience. My hat is off to them, the plant workers and Bob Breeding
Everytime I watch the process it amazes me that you can go from a "bucket of bolts" to a vehicle that drives off the line and starts the first time in about 32 hours.
Now I just have to wait for the Museum Delivery!!!
Did you see mine being built too...lol. It was born the same day as yours. My dealer just called and I will have mine by friday... CAN'T WAIT, even if I have to leave it in the garage till the snow melts...
