Getting ready to place an order for the headers and x pipe and decided to upgrade to the v band clamps. Question is how many do I need for this project? Thanks
Typically you are just going to run V bands at the header collectors. Everything else in the mid pipe back to the rear axle flanges can be welded up in its entirety.
So at minimum you need 1 pair of V bands.
This really is the ideal way to go. In a perfect world you don't want any exhaust leaks from the headers at least back to the rear axle.

Thanks! I had planned on at least for pair for that connection. Hoping to not have to get anything welded
The v bands will have to be welded onto the headers and the forward most pipes of the mid pipe kit. Beyond that you can still use the clamps.
The v bands can be welded off the car so if you can take the headers to a welder and have them done I would recommend that.
Also they don't tell you this as there is no instructions but you have to cut off the slip fit portion of the mid pipe collectors to put the v band on there.

FYI…the SE midpipes are not in stock currently. Maybe by the end of the month.
