Hello, I was having a shop install the Series S single disc clutch from Monster when they took apart the clutch and found that it had some gouges on the face of the pressure plate that contacts the clutch and some other damage to the sides. The clutch kit had not been opened up until that point and now monster is telling me that it won’t be covered due to the 7 days passing since it was delivered and its not something that they would’ve caused or would’ve passed their QC. It would cost more than what the setup is all worth to even ship it back to get them to get the pressure plate replaced on top of the actual cost of replacement since they’re not covering anything. Is there anything I can do at this point? Can I buy just a new pressure plate from a different supplier like McLeod or would I just be better off buying a whole new clutch, pressure plate and flywheel from a different company? I’m frustrated with this whole situation so any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
