Default Need help finding/choosing a seat

The seats in my '02 are absolutely trashed. I've been looking at bucket seat options, because it would be fun to inconvenience myself every time I get in and out of the car. I'm kidding lol. I have plans for track days and it's not my daily. HOWEVER, I honestly haven't liked many of the options because most of the racing seats under 2k feel and look cheap.

Put simply, has anyone done anything cool in this realm? Maybe something along the lines of junkyard Porsche bucket seats, etc... My current first choice is the Sparco QRT Evo L.

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts!

C7 seats are the hot setup.
If you want something really hardcore race style, find some C7 Comp seats, but they will be $$$$$.

Swapping to C7 seat was worth the change. We both really like them compared to the C5s. Good luck on your quest.

I believe a few people have even fit C8 seats in their C5. I also wondered about Porsche seats, they seem very similar in size to me, at least the few I've driven. Might have to look at dimensions before you purchase anything, the C5 seats are on the narrow side

The base C7 seats are a massive upgrade over factory C5s from the frame outward.

The C7 Comps are roughly equivalent to the C8 GT2s. Both are comparably sought after and priced accordingly due to relative scarcity.

I agree on how so many seats look cheap. Many ARE. Most Corbeaus I think are crap vinyl. I happen to have the suede finish on my A4s and love them. A better look, a better material and feel. Though the A4 is not a track seat because it has the adjustable back angle, it straddles track events and majority street driving.

Other popular swaps.... I know certain Subarus came with great seats from Recaro which can be swapped. I have seen an Audi S-something seats swapped (hacked) into a C5.

Cobra Suzuka GT with AMT mounts works. There are numerous cheap brands out there via Amazon, etc... and some do not look so cheap.

Pro advice: get to the Corvette Track Enthusiasts page and FB and search or post there. Guys there are insanely helpful.

My car is 70% track maybe more. I went with these Marrad seats in mine. I think they look great. They’re a little narrow but I’ve driven 3 hrs to the track and wasn’t miserable.
