Need install tips on Vortex Rammer-help
I am swapping my Blackwing for the Vortex and am having trouble with the install. I cut the shroud according to the templete and now have a hard time mounting the Vortex to the shroud. Seems impossible to get the screws lined up. Also it looks to be too far down the shroud and the MAF and airbridge are not fitting too well. ALmost looks like I should of cut the opening an inch or two higher. But I cut it exactly as the templet showed. Any suggestions?? I should of kept the Blackwing. :mad

Sounds like good advice, but too late for that now. Do these normally not line up? Again it seems I shoud have cut the hole about an inch or two higher than I did.

I did as CP mentioned, I assembled all but the bottom scoop portion and then drilled the bolt holes out first to mark the corners and then cut the big hole. It worked great and now fits perfectly. You might need to buy a new shroud, or just cut the hole up higher to make it fit, and us some of what you cut out to cover up any gap at the bottom.

You might need to buy a new shroud, or just cut the hole up higher to make it fit, and us some of what you cut out to cover up any gap at the bottom.
