I bought a c5 and am doing paint restoration, but the genius last owner had those "corvette" letters in the slots and they were falling off... so i removed them but behind the stupid O he used freaking super glue. I used the 3m adhesive remover to get everything else off the other letters but its not working on the super glue its like glass. any ideas I'm frustrated af. thank you in advance
Anything that will dissolve super glue is probably going to damage the paint. The number one thing I would want to use is acetone and that's definitely not good. CA glue is usually brittle unless it's a rubber formula or something which is usually woodworking related or similar so you may have some ability to chip away at it very carefully. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will chime in with something I don't know about yet.
You might have luck trying to gently chip away the glue with a plastic razor blade. You will need to be cautious though. Worst case scenario, you could buy some new domed letters
Yeah, anything that will remove the super glue will remove the paint, and likely damage the urethane of the bumper too.
I would also suggest a new set of letters, in a color that you can live with.
Try lacquer thinner - I used today on my car paint to remove a touch up blob and no affect on clear coat. From AI:
Yes, lacquer thinner can be used to remove dried super glue, especially from hard surfaces. It acts as a solvent, breaking down the adhesive bonds of the super glue

It says that because usually there is acetone in it which will definitely mess up the paint.
I used it today for my touch ups and many times before - dab on cloth right on my clear coat! No issues!
That is great for your car and your paint. I would not be recommending it to others at a MINIMUM without being upfront about the risks. The fact is acetone is a solvent that will act on your clear coat and lacquer thinner will have acetone. In the OP's case the super glue will not be dissolved immediately so it will have to sit there and work and it isn't going to work only on the super glue.
This will work, but you will need to use Q-tip and work slowly till your at a point where you might be able to use some touch-up in your color to blend it in ?
