Default New c5 owner

Bought a low mile 2000 corvette a few months ago, previous owner made sure anything engine worked and let the rest shred to bits. ( electrical components). Anyway, after i fix it I'd like to do some basic mods, looking into the exhaust. I thought I'd cut the cat, put in long tubes and an x pipe. Maybe a flex tube too? With a HPtuner as well. Any advice or help is welcome.

Drive it before you invest in mods. Some states require cats for inspection and smog tests.

Welcome to the C5 gang! I would get everything in top shape before mods. Unless something is already dead and you are going to upgrade. Good luck and keep us informed. Vette people love projects.

If I were you, I would keep cats. I’m under 30, and I love loud exhausts. However, I prefer cats because they are semi-tame and don’t cause headaches, both literally and figuratively.
