Default Issue with Oil pressure relocation

Installed the relocation kit with new Delco sensor. The sensor dripped because of the thread length. Added a couple of washers and all is ok..

I am awaiting a response from the seller as he states the OEM sensor is what to use....Anyone else have this issue?

Is there an alternate Sensor with less threads?

I have no idea the issue here. Nor do I know the thread depth. But I believe I have used a Pontiac sensor at one time and later a Buick (why do I want to say BMW in my head?) part number. Might still be the same sensor regardless. Just different branding numbers. Use Google to search the forum here and I'll bet you find some options.

I too had to use some washers when I relocated my factory sensor. I have been racing with it like this for 2 years without issue.

Thanks! I feel a little better now. How can this guy sell many of these and not either correct his end or suggest another sensor that doesn't need washers....Plug and play should be exactly that.

I made my own re-location. It might just be the case with the parts available. Not enough volume to justify custom fittings.

Made my own also. Pre made kits probably use whatever is easily available (cheap). I did mine from all Earl's fittings and an ICT adapter fitting to screw the OEM sensor into. 25,000 miles now with not a weep of oil. I can provide the parts list if you want.
