Key fob programming
Good morning everyone. I desperately need your help and knowledge. I need another keb fob for my mint condition C-5. As you know the original style with the passive entry system is no longer available.
I found a mint condition used one on ebay.
My questions are. Can I reprogram that used original key fob to my vette. using the on board D.I.C.?
My second question is if I purchase the new style key fob w/o the passive slide button will the key fob auto lock and unlock the vette. or will that feature no longer be available to me?

You can purchase a new FOB without the passive lock/unlock for the '97 to '00 for about $100. That passive feature will not work with this FOB.
Use mint condition may or may not mean anything. I have 2 original FOB's for my '99. One of them was rarely used because I am the only driver and it failed years ago.
