I have been having drivability issues with our 2001. I had had it aligned about a year and a half ago. It started following traffic ruts and pavement. So I had it realigned a couple of months ago. Left front was out a little and it helped but did not solve the problem. The service manager at my local Chevy dealer said they checked everything in the suspension and it looked good. I knew the front tires were about seven years old and I asked him if that could be causing the problem. He said it was likely the could.
I had the tires replaced with some new Michelin run flats this morning and the problem is solved. just wanted to say this is the little heads up for anyone that might be having a similar problem. I really didn’t think the tires were quite old enough to be a real problem, but apparently so. Car is garage at night and parked under cover during the day so it hasn’t had extremely terrible conditions.
Just a little heads up for what it’s worth.
