I really like these new InfiRai taillights and especially the pressure clips which delete the mounting screws and provide an uninterrupted lit halo ring and multiple effect options.
I really dig the new infinity style taillights but I am far too much of a cheap *** to buy the damn things.
My RV LED tail assemblies were like 60 dollars installed lol. albeit nowhere near as cool looking.
I think the Infinity lights are also really nice and based on the pics and videos I've seen, probably have a little deeper mirror effect than the InfiRai set up I installed. I had checked one of their installation videos on You Tube and it was a lot more complex and required some trimming of the rear fascia tail light openings, etc. so that scared me away in addition to the higher price. I also trusted VetteLights and wanted to match their other smoked side markers and front corner markers I installed with their Laser tail lights a few years ago,
I've been considering the Infinity lights you purchased, but haven't seen any videos in bright daylight. Are they visible to others in the daytime?
I think they are very bright and they get brighter when you apply the brakes. I will try to take some pics in the sun but need to recruit the wife to step on the brakes. They also have a side specific sequential turn signal feature which I also set. Hopefully you can see the iPhone video I attached.
Here's a pic I took yesterday afternoon right after my round of golf got rained out and after unlocking the car with my key fob. These are the approach lights and the brake lights are brighter.
Curious what the backside of the InfiRai looks like on the backside. I love the parking light look, but I'm not a fan of the "bright/dim" for stop/turn and parking. I'd love to see if there was a way to put lights in the center section for brake/signal.

I think they're pretty bright when just running the DRLs. I plan to take a couple more pics tonight when it's really dark.
I agree on the brake lights however as the outer ring and mirrored infinity-like effect just gets brighter when the brakes are applied and the center, mirror section does not illuminate. By comparison, when I ran the smoked Laser lights, the center line laser LED illuminated when driving either with the DRLs and headlights, but the entire taillight lit up when I applied the brakes which made the brake lights look a lot more brighter.
Here's sort of a side-by-side comparison of the Infinity lights on the black C5 above and the InfiRai lights on my C5. The black C5 does not have the license plate lights or the sidemarker lights on so the car looks darker.
Also, although InfiRai lights offer an amber turn signal option, I chose to keep them red, however the halo looks amber in color whenever I take digital pictures, but they are actually red in the video I attached earlier.
I had been very active and aggressive two years ago when these two vendors began down the road of designing new lights. I was.... well.... PUSHY in posts and DMs about them coming up with a continuous halo as being "the" thing to set them apart from the crowd and make the C5s look "right." In the dev process there were promises of something similar to the center section of the old Halos to be available and other options too but these did not make it to the production versions.
Both looks good enough to me. Different takes on the same idea. Legally diverse and leaving Brian with no route to sue either one.... which was ANOTHER topic I counseled them on as he is highly protective of the original Halos he invested in to where even the Laser / Burger producer had to ADD the center laser section at one point in order to avoid a lawsuit.
I would own one of these kits by now except they both missed me in two areas. I'm not into the infinity thing. In the northeast here that identifies the car with a different crowd. Probably not the same elsewhere in the states. Having been hit 3+ times and ONLY when I did not have Halo lights on the car, I am particular the the brake function being able to instigate an epileptic fit from the brightness. So I really wanted the light-up center section brick or reflectors like the old Halos have.
Do you guys have day-time and night-time video of these kits in drive, turn, and brake mode?
All things being equal, I'd probably opt for Sean's kit with the more clearly defined LEDs and no border ring between Halo and infiniti as on the Infirai. Also because I sweated him pretty hard at first about the body kits and lights and he held up strong and followed through on his goals. Respect. Though I would need to compare both in video to decide as brightness and visibility are the real motivator.
One note. The Coupe has the Euro lights on it. I have NEVER had an interest in those before in my life. I suspect if the car did not also have the tigershark rear bumper I would still not be a fan. But both the bumper and the lights when seen in person work really well together on that car.
I think both kits offer enough differentiation and it’s great to have options. What I really like is that they both offer uninterrupted halo lighting effects by deleting the mounting screws.
In my earlier post (#10) I attached a short video from my iPhone that shows the sequential turn signals at dusk. Plus it’s a nice sound bite of my cammed and supercharged LS3.
I plan to take some daytime full sun pics and share them as well.
The full ring sets these products above and beyond prior offerings. If Brian redesigned the Halos to install similarly I would honestly buy a set of those from him as that fits all my goals. I did find videos as well as the different websites last night and I believe perhaps the best for me would be Sean's set where the infinity portion only lights up with the brake light and adds more light and visibility to the brakes. I do like both light combos when run as the ring alone. I still think that looks cool. The only problem is that you are instantly identifiable for 3 miles down the road if you ever invoke the negative attentions of law enforcement as they are quite unique.
Here are a few pics in direct Florida sunlight. The infinity effect is definitely muted due to the direct sunlight, plus the mirror reflection makes it difficult to capture in a photo. From a visibility perspective, I think they are about the same as the Halo Mod tail lights and about the same level of brightness as my OEM high LED brake light. The non-smoked versions are probably a little brighter. I agree that the best solution would be for the inside to light up when braking similar to the Laser lights.
