These things have been my bane in three years of ownership. Started with both missing, ordered some, they didn't fit, ordered some others, they kinda fit, held them in with glue. Lost one this summer on a road trip. So I decided to get new bezels + plugs. They went in fine, fit nice and tight (the new style is way better than the old style my 1999 came with). And STILL lost one today when I had the lights up. Ha! Well I'll look through my stash of spares and/or pickup another and put the strongest glue I can track down on them...
I secure them with black duct tape on the inside. Haven’t moved in 20+ years. On the rare occasion I need access to the adjustment rod, I just remove the full bezel. Only three screws.
