For anyone that has the 5000 or 6000 series QuickJack, the Sport & Compact Drop-In Tray Set fixes the fitment issue for our cars. I bought the 3500SLX over the other options specifically to avoid the fitment issue.
**EDIT**
I believe the older SL and SLX models fit fine. The more recent TL and TLX models are the ones that don't fit quite as well.

I only get 3/4 of each jacking puck with my 5000 TL (Purchased this year).
Same with mine I purchased 2 years ago. It was fine but took a lot of finessing to get it as good as possible. I made a set of drop in runners out of 2x6's and used some derlin to make "keepers" that won't let the board move side to side and stay in the pockets. Now I get total puck coverage on the vette and when I use it on the truck, it makes lots of frame contact and is rock solid. Cost about 20 bucks-

I didn't need anything added either, and when I need to lift the vette, I just slide them under without having to raise the car any. (car is slightly lowered)

That’s a great idea. I used my QJ 5000TL on my C7 for an oil change for the first time last week and noticed I couldn’t quite get the car pucks and QJ lifting blocks perfectly centered. They were off by approximately 1/2”. Still worked fine but took a lot of careful placement. Would be nice to have an extra couple of inches of spread to work with. Think I’ll give your idea a try.

Thanks. I just ordered a set as well to use with my 5000TL. Using it for my C7 which have lifting points just a bit closer than I could adjust the blocks on the QJ for. They were doable, but needed about another 3/4 to 1” of adjustment to get the pucks when attached to the car to fully center up on the QJ lifting blocks.
If you're in the market for a QuickJack or accessories for one, this is a good time to buy. Their current 15% off sale matches what they usually do during SEMA which, in my experience, is about the best deal on one, outside the limited models sold thru Costco. Shipping is free. (Note the 5000- and 7000-series QJs have been discontinued.)
I am not affiliated with QuickJack - just passing along the sale info for anyone interested.
