Thinking about trying to use some type of bonding adhesive to bond the inner fender to this rocker panel to keep the fender from flaring out on the bottom. Any other ideas? What adhesive or epoxy would you recommend?
How about using a long thin metal kind of brace ? Screw it into the rocker panel first. Align the fender push it in then screw into the bottom of the fender

don’t really want to do anymore damage to the rocker panel or the fender if I don’t have too. I’ve seen some people say mount something to the frame as well and I really don’t want to do that. Do you have an idea to do some kind of brace with minimal damage?
Just found this as an example. But it’s rigid strong and small. Drill one side into the frame or rocker to secure it in place. Push the bottom of the fender in
so it’s aligned with the other side panel. Drill the other side in under the fender.
There are marine adhesives that would work for this application. 3M 4200 would work or 3M 5200 but you would have difficulty with 5200 if you needed to remove it in the future.
I tried to help you in your earlier thread, the fender bolts to the frame (stock) your part of the fender is broken, hence I said to use a metal strap to connect ???

where do you recommend getting some metal like this to work with
Lots of ways to skin this cat. Just don't adhere the panel to the frame directly!
I did a large washer on one car and epoxied it to the fender bottom. If I did it again? I might slap a rivnut in the frame and epoxy the edges of THAT when I lock it in, then you have a more direct bolt through service. Then fit/align a washer or other piece to the under side of the fender to connect through. That would be pretty bomb proof. Just anti-seize the threads.

I ended up to using a really tight u clip and clipping it as far down as possible on what’s left of the rocker panel and fender in the original mounting spot. Holds super solid and passed all of my tests. Best thing is you can’t see it unless your under the car and it’s just as or less noticeable then the original mount.

The missing piece had a hole with a plastic static "bolt" to hold it into the frame. That hole should still exist, so all the bottom of the panel needs is a hole and a way for the ring around it to remain secured.
The E clip works too. Those rust like hell but ought to be good for about a decade unless it bounces out.

both mounting point for the fender and for the rocker panel are gone in my case. Wish it wasn’t the case but the spot where I put the u-clip is as close to that area as possible. It holds super tight and I can’t see it unless I look under the car so I’m not that mad at the fix.
