I don’t know how many C5s were sold during its entire run. Taking into account attrition and any other factors, does anybody have a ballpark idea on how many are still out there?
I don’t get out much for a few years now, thus my question. The subdivision I live in consists of maybe 800 units and I’m the only person that has one. I think there is one C3 and a C8 and that’s about it.
I counted yesterday day. 47 if you count the non running ones.
I would have to speculate 75% are still out there in running and non running condition. The Corvette is not the kind of car that easily gets scrapped. You see how many rebuild models here fron crashes and many are not registered are still doing track time etc.
There a ton of them out there even if you don’t have any in your Neighborhood. In mine I have one two houses away and many in the areas,
Not rare nor will be.
C8 is popular now since more than just Corvette people are buying them and C3 modesl are seen often as they are dirt cheap post 1974 and there are a ton of them since they built them so many years.
Maybe I don't see any because they don't let me out much from my assisted living community.
My grandmother has to keep an eye on me.
They worry I may not remember how to get back.
I want to know how many 1 of 1 rare C5 Corvettes are left that were never in the rain. Even if they were built and sat in the lot in BG and got rained on and on a truck down the road in the rain.
Every time I turn around these rare cars show up LOL!
The only TRULY rare C5 is the 1 of 1 2000MY that was given away as an award at the C5 plant.
Platinum Power Purple
The second rarest would be of the 15 Aztec Gold C5s made in 1998, of which there are actually 3 different shades, 5 of each of the 3 shades.
This was a test color for the 50th Anniversary Edition.
