Default MGW Shifter

Ordered a new MGW shifter for the 2002 convertible today. Super helpful and shipped the shifter out same day! Looking forward to getting it installed. I have a new double DIN head unit with Vettenuts console so I figured I would tackle it all at the same time, since it will have to come apart anyway. It will be nice to have Apple Carplay and be able to stream my music and use the phone as well as have a backup camera.

I am a huge fan of the MGW shifters. The best modification I have done on my 98. Bolt action precision shifting. Solid feel with gear engagement and disengagement. You can see the quality when you open the box. They are not kidding about the aluminum backed insulation though... it will slice a finger. Clean off the stick to spots and use gloves on that part of the install is my hot tip.

If the new one is not the model which comes with its own tub already, be sure to hit up TMODcustoms for one of his.

I have not tried the Flat Stick yet or MGW's in-house tub replacement. I believe theirs leaves the bottom open - which is completely fine - I just prefer to keep the risk of splatter and dust out of the grease.

Just a little bit of nickel knowledge.... MGW stands for Maryland Gun Works. They started out making specialized custom gun parts.

For the government, yes. I first heard of the when they ventured into the Viper parts development and first came up with their shifter for the T56.
