I really hated to do it, but I traded my 02 Z06 for a roswell green 2026 stingray, so I won't be on the c5 forum as much. Thanks for all the advice over the years

Very Nice. Enjoy the new ride. My wife is thinking about getting a C8 but I am keeping the C5.
So you're gonna alien-ate us and leave in you're "Roswell" ship? 😄 Do come back once in a while. I'm not a huge fan of green, but that darker shade looks good on that car.
It should have been! I paid 23000 for the Z 06 in 2016 and the dealer gave me 20000 trade. I was amazed! It has 42000 miles when I bought it and 70000 when traded

Nice car, and a beautiful color.
A few weeks ago, we were having dinner with our local Corvette club. We followed a friend in his C8 onto a freeway on ramp, having only driven about a mile - if that - from the restaurant. I saw the C8 take the corner onto the on ramp a little aggressively, and we did the same. Once we hit straight road - we were only doing maybe 35 mph, and it was slightly uphill - I punched the C5 on those cold tires. It's an auto, and when it shifted down the rear broke loose causing all the traction control/stability control stuff to kick in effectively shutting down most of the power. That rear engine C8 had no cold tire issues and he was gone. Last summer, our Corvette club took a week long road trip from the Seattle area down to Eureka, CA, thru the Avenue of the Giants (Redwoods) and back home up the coast. We got to cruise extensively with the 2 C8's that were on the trip. Those C8s might not yet be my cup of tea looks wise - but they are extremely capable cars. Congratulations, and enjoy!
