Default Moving to the C8

After a lot of great years with our '99 vert, we decided to jump up to a '24 HTC. We pick the it up later this week and are super excited to bring it home. Not to worry, the '99 is staying in the family. We gifted it to our 34 year old son. I'm sure you'll see him on C5 section of the forum soon. I've always shared with him just how helpful this site and the members are. Hope to see ya out on the road.

Nice! I've been tempted to pick up a C8 too.

Enjoy in good health.

Very nice, love the color. My wife is thinking about getting a C8 as her DD. We shall see but if it does happen our C5 stays.

I want a C8 really badly, thoughts of a new E-Ray get me all wound up!

And, it is funny to me, ever since they came out with the hard top convertible "HTC", I have always been into drag racing and engine building and engine builders, "HTC" always makes me think of "Hank The Crank", used to be a pretty famous engine builder/supplier in drag racing world, way back when.

Thinking the same thing. Used Z06 or wait for a new GS? Still might keep the C5

I remember Hank the Crank. He was making really good billet cranks 60 years ago! Last time I heard of him was in a early 2000s 'Vette magazine article where he was grinding a billet 4.25 stroke crank for a Darton sleeved 4.125" bore LS1. He wanted a 454. Hank the Crank.....Man, talk about feeling old....er!!

I moved up from my 2002 Corvette to a 2023 Corvette but kept the C5. Just did not have the heart to part with it.

Yeah, gotta agree with you. The side shot, straight on of the C8 is a bit unflattering as it shows the short front and longer backend that was needed to accommodate the mid-engine installation. I do like looks of the C8 from other angles however.

I like all years.
Had I come across as good or better a deal on some other generation car before buying mine, I might have bought it, but I jumped as soon as I found my C5.
Would definitely buy another generation car if or when I could afford it, but keep my C5 as well.
