Boom, it pooped up right in front of me during my search, 2003 Z06 55416 miles 15k$ . Wow, beautiful thing. Wait a second? I zoomed in on an emblem and something didnt look right. I am a C4 owner looking (for a year) at 5's and 6's and this one had me rubbing my little greedy hands together until I saw the follwing picks. This is BS correct ? ZL6 ?? Listed as Z06 but it is an auto ??
Thanks for any help.

People who don't know any better, screw up the nomenclature on these cars all the time.
And, I've never seen that ZL6 badge before, really screwy one there, as there never has been a ZL6 production code that I know of.
But, the car in question looks to be a 50th anniversary edition car, and if those pics and the miles claimed are legit, and the car is in overall good shape, then $15K for a 55K mile car is a fair asking price.
Was it listed as a Z06, which would be a lie, or as the badging indicates the SLP ZL6? From the link on the SLP package it doesn’t sound like a bad setup, with a Blackwing, catback, increased lift from longer rockers, and a sort-of SLP tune.
It was listed as a Z6 and has either rear brake cooling or fake . In looking at in this morning it looks like possibly a small attempt at misleading.
My guess is now it was a wanna-be Z06 and the seller is trying to use it as a selling point.
.
It's a good looking car.
The Anniversary edition wheels have been replaced, although I never thought much of those anyway.
As an informed buyer, the confusion over the nomenclature wouldn't keep me from buying, if that was a car I was interested in.
But, if you're looking for a Z06, then just keep searching and forget this car.
You could inform the seller of his mistakes in the listing, but people never appreciate that kind of help.
People stick all kinds of sh*t on their cars.
Z car brake scoops, a little red paint on the calipers, and voila, it must be a Z06 now!
The ad doesn't claim it to be a Z06, just a Z6, and it seems to actually be a ZL6 lingenfelter package applied to a 2003 Anniversary Coupe.
The rear brake ducts would also be an add-on, not part of the ZL6 kit, but many have added those to their car.
I don't really see the seller trying to fake anyone out, and if he were, he would likely be asking more than the fair price he is.
