Default Sun visor won’t lock in?

Is there a way to fix or replace the locking channel inside the windshield pillar for my new C5 sun visor?
The passenger visor locked in, but driver side will not.
I tried going without visors, but that doesn’t work for me.
Thanks.

What is keeping it from locking in?
Tabs broken on the piece that twists in to hold it in the hole?

No, the tabs are new, so is the visor. The OEM tabs in the old visor won’t lock in either. I don’t know what that opening looks like or if I can replace it rejigger it?

Well, there is a specific way they have to go in to fit up in the hole in the windshield header so that you can turn them to engage the tabs.
And, they can be a little frustrating to get lined up.

I don't know if this will help you at all, maybe you've already seen it, my video of the visor install on my car.
The only other suggestion I have is, as I state in the video, getting the wire and connector stuffed back up in the hole so it isn't interfering with getting the mount up in there and turned, that is the most difficult part.

My first replacement pair of visors had similar difficulties — the left visor had a right fitting by mistake. If your original visor no longer locks in place, the header bezel may well be damaged. New units are available, no idea how they lock into the header, but perhaps having one in hand would provide the answer. Photos look like it just snaps in. Part number is 10431402 for driver’s:

No, the part that holds the visor to the windshield header that it pivots on.
