Default Setting Vehicle Preferences - C5

My C5 factory service information disc has references to a section called "Vehicle Preferences", which I believe is the section wherein one can set preferences for door locks, etc. I have spent considerable time searching for this information, but have been unsuccessful. I see no such information in the owner manual.

If someone can either point me to where in the SI this section appears, or, preferably, post it here that would be much appreciated.

Do you have the owner's manual for your car?
If not, you can download one online, and the info you seek is in it.
And, of course, the controls and menu for those changes are on the buttons on the right side of the instrument cluster.

[Yes, as I had previously indicated.]

Are the DIC personalization options in the owner manual the extent of the personalization available?

Thank you.

The only options for “personalization” are the DIC options.

The service manual download also contains the owner's manuals but you can probably get it right from chevrolet without all the stuff you don't need.

A little restricted on the C5 unfortunately.

let me run through the menus and see what i see

in my frc it was almost intuitive while I was in my early 40’s. I’ll see what I know with the new to me z06.

THEN we can chat about what you would like to accomplish with your DIC

So I know the C5 cluster can plug into the C5. But can we then customize the welcome message as on a C6? I tend to doubt it.
