Sorry to say yes totalled. Air bags sealed the fate.
J&J auto wrecking gets C5 models in like this daily and most were totaled even with no air bags.
The next debate is can it be fixed. Yes but it will require many plastic bits and pieces that add up fast. Also the bags and then paint.
The real kicker is the air bags going off will taint the car for many buyers and effect the value of the car even in perfect condition. Even whole selling it the dealers avoid any air bag deployed cars.
If you had agreed value insurance you should get the value you agreed on. Unless you were really sentimental on the car you may be best to look for a new one and move on. There are many low mile cars in similar and better condition.
Sorry for your loss it looked like a nice car. I crashed my Fiero like this in 1987 and it was near $8000 then and they did not total it but no air bags and it was 2 years old. I did fix it and I still have it. Fixing is reasonable if you do it your self. The trouble is paint and small parts are expensive today. If you could get a cheap parts car or front clip it would help. Was the roof damaged before? Also is the a pillar bent. It looks ok but if it is out that could be an issue.
Yes, I was hoping it was totaled and to just start over as this one will never be the same after this type of damage. Of course it has a brand new top that was damaged as well. UGH. Hagerty told me it takes a week for the process and to let me know if it's totaled. They did move the vehicle to copart for inspection yesterday. Hopefully this is not a long process as I want to get back in a Vette as soon as possible. I'm very sad about this one, really was running and driving perfect.
What happened, drive up under a 18 wheeler trailer?
Hagerty is agreed value coverage, right?
I would guess for it to be totaled by them it would have to be a large percentage of the agreed value to fix it before they would total it.

Actually if done right they can get it just like new. But that takes time and parts and the total of all the plastic parts on the passenger side alone can be ever so expensive vs present values.
My Fiero was damaged in the same way even the A pillar. Hit a Dodge van broadside that pulled out in front of me. The van was on top of the hood to the A pillar. Today you would neve know anything happened, But no air bags and 2 year old car made it worth fixing.
I am glad you have the right attitude and sound like you were not hurt. What was it you hit? Pick up truck?
If the accident was not your fault, call an injury lawyer immediately. If you’re not physically injured, maybe you are mentally. Go seek help, it’s all paid for by the other guy. Otherwise, looks totaled, take the money and run .
Airbags don't always seal the fate of cars anymore... But this one is shot even if the bags didn't deploy. Frame is probably tweaked.. Wheel house is smoked. Probably 20k in repairs for a 13k car.

In a car this old it really does I’ll it. Needs a new dash, two bags, wiring, and seat belts. Most have charges in them that set off the belts to tighten up. Not sure the C5 has this but most do. Then you get to the damage.
This shows up on Car Fax and buyers keep away.
i had a car that lost a bag and belts. The car itself did not have any sheet metal damage just front bumper. Few called and until a guy came out to look he saw there was nothing wrong.
As a dealer told me people use go look and buy. Now they get on the web and any red light on a report keeps them from coming out. I was lucky and he gave me my asking price but he knew the car was good. I showed him photos of the damage to back up how little there was.
Yes,air bag deployment often totals many a modern vehicle. Repair procedures often (per manufacturer) requires seat belts that bind up upon impact, module's,clock spring etc.It gets worse when curtain bags are deployed which usually requires headliner replacement. A C5 is not to bad compared to modern cars...rolling computers and very expensive collision repair costs.

My belts had gas charges that pulled them tight and locked them. They had to be replaced as well the harnesses.
