Default Header question

Does anyone have the following combiation on their Z06:

Headers - High Flow Cats - X pipe - Stock Titanium mufflers ????

I was wondering what kind of gains this would produce. Is the 600+ outlay of cash for the mufflers really needed (ie: for Borla's etc). Also how does this set up sound -- I am sure it isn't as aggresive as a set of stingers but I would imagine it would produce a more healthy exhaust note

I did just the stainlessworks headers. I left the stock cats and mufflers. The sound is more aggressive and is really perfect for me. I don't think mufflers will gain anything significant. HIgh flow cats won't offer any benefit either as the stockers flow well. Even Ling's TT uses the stock cats and that's pushing 600HP. I gained 24 HP with mine and am happy.

Ruby,
I picked up my Z06 today from Roger's and saw your car waiting for you. It is a beauty. You will not be disappointed! On my way home I was passed on the right side by a young girl and her boyfriend in one of them rental Mustang convertibles. I had my windows opened up just cruising along at 65 MPH. She was driving and what she did next was unbelievable! As she passed me she kept turning her whole body looking at my car. She was just about 10 feet in front and to the side of me, mind you, still turned almost all around, when the boyfriend tapped her on her shoulder, to inform her she was not watching what was happening directly in front of her. Lucky for him because when she finally turned around she had to almost lock up the brakes to avoid hitting someone right in front of her. It was pretty scary. Now was it my car or my good looks? Ha Ha Wish you the best with your new ride. I am very pleased with Rogers. The car had one additional mile on it because they took it down to the local gas station and filled up my tank. That is what I call going the extra yard. I can still remember when I would buy a new car only to barely make it to the gas station just breathing on gas fumes. God forbid if they would spend a few dollars to gas it up.

That's a good gain, with the price of the headers for these things and then the exhaust it can get expensive.

Did you have an exhaust shop tie the headers to the cats or do they bolt up ?
