Hi, I am new to the Corvette forum, I am in the process of learning about the C5 series Corvette's and the issues to look for in them, before I buy one. My plan is to own an Automatic. I have always dreamed of owning one and at 70 years old look forward to the fun driving one. I am a retired red seal mechanic and don't want a project car, but would like to improve the problem areas of the C5 I find, prefferably a 2001-2004.
I look forward to the feedback from all the threads.
Welcome, this is a great place to start your journey on learning the ins and outs of the C5. If I may offer one piece of advice, be very picky when it is time to make a purchase. There is an abundance of really nice C5s out there just looking for a new owner.
Welcome! Sounds like you have a good knowledge base to start from. Feel free to post up any listings you find, and we can offer advice about if you should buy it. Normally, my number one piece of advice for a new buyer is to get a pre-purchase inspection. However, it sounds like you can probably handle that yourself. Once you find the right car for you, be sure to post some pictures of it. We always enjoy seeing other people's Corvettes.
