I wouldn't belittle a C5 Corvette with a Stingray emblem (most non Corvette people wouldn't notice) but I'd know that particular C5 was not originally designated a "Stingray".
well the 82 year old man I bought my C3 from put C5 script on it WTF. that's the first thing I removed not my cup of tea at all. no different than putting the C8 emblem on it.

I would not put a C7/C8 Stingray emblem on a C5. Just does not look proper on a non-Stingray car. Now if you can come up with a custom emblem for the car, that might be an option.

they love to argue on FB that it doesn't matter as it's a Corvette emblem. My comment is yea so is an M badge on a BMW M4 but it doesn't belong on a 330i 4 banger or a F350 badge on a F150.
