Default Targa Top Repair

When I purchased my c5, I received both targa top options (the paint match one and the transparent one). I don’t know what the previous owner did to it but it has all of these circular scratches on it. I’m wondering if there’s some type of polishing or something that I can do to restore this top because I would absolutely love to have it. If anyone has a solution please let me know! Thanks!

Those scratches look to be from a DA sander. At this point you would likely need to finish sanding it with finer grits and apply a new clear coat. I believe the factory finish is a tinted clear coat, but I'm not 100% positive on that

I might just opt to have it replaced. I had mine done with Melrose. There are some chats here about the replacement.

I have a few Word files that discuss refinishing a targa top. PM me your e-mail address and I will forward the files to you.

I have a can of kbs clear diamond finish spray on clear coat. Do you think that will work or should I purchase a different clear coat?

The clear coating should be clear not tinted. That top has been started in the process but not completely. That top can be repaired, and probably worth doing.
