Beartooth Pass
We're taking the C5 thru Yellowstone in late August and we're considering taking Beartooth Pass which is about 11,000 feet IIRC. We've never had our C5 close to that altitude. I'm not looking for full HP, I just want it to run reliably for the trip. Has anyone had their C5 across Beartooth Pass recently? How did it run?
We're also looking for general info on taking a C5 thru Yellowstone in general. Are the roads maintained well enough that we won't be beating up our trusty C5?

Thanks folks, much appreciated. The last time I was on Beartooth Pass was the summer of 72 when I was sixteen. I was riding a 3 cylinder, 3 carb two stroke 500 Kawasaki H1, At the summit that poor thing barely ran. I was lucky to make it to the top. IIRC I couldn't keep a cigarette lit when we pulled over to admire the view. And by the time we got towards the bottom, my brakes were pretty darn hot. I'm looking forward to crossing that pass in comparative luxury in the C5 this August.
I use to drive my first 01 Vette in Durango Co to Silverton all summer when I was on a job assignment there. It had no clue what the elevation was as the computer just did it's job. there is nothing like driving on those tight curvy roads at a good speed. have fun and keep it in-between the lines. One thing they like to do up in that area is when they resurface some roads it to put gravel on them. I had to replace my pitted windshield when I got back to Texas that year. fortunately it was 2009 and no problem getting one.
