I was paying Nationwide about 1150 on my SS Camaro, when I called about the new Z06 they wanted 1310. I have a clean record, no accidents in the last 10 years so I knew it was time to look. I made a couple of calls and ended up at The Hartford for 475 a year! Anyone getting a better deal anywhere else?
$475 a year is less than half what I pay! Congrats!
I am also surprised at Nationwide's increase. At one time I had a 98 Z28 and paid less insurance for a 99 Vette, same company, same deductibles, same number of cars, same everything. I was told Z28's and SS's have heavy accident records, consequesntly less for the Vette.
I need to make some calls. Thanks for posting this! :chevy :flag :chevy :flag

Re: Insurance What do you pay?
Right at $1200/year with 50/100/50, $500 collision deductible and $250 comp deductible through State Farm. This is with it listed as a daily driver with approx 15K miles a year. That's only about $25 more a month than my 92 by the way.
I use the Hartford as well.....about 650 a year with 100/300/100. Hartford has always done me right.
How long have you been with The Hartford , ever have a claim and if so did your rates go up?
Nope....no claims. Have you ever had a claim with the Hartford?
I pay about $1,400 a year, with a $1,000 deductible. I'm 30, single, and perfect driving record. But I live in a high accident rate area (Long Island) that is infested with lawyers and frivolous lawsuits, and thus has some of the highest insurance rates in the country.
SOMEONE please post this Hartford ins co website/800 # Thanks!
I'm 35, I pay 1200/year with Gieco, Full coverage, 500/500 deduct, no accidents in over 12 years. I'm on Long Island too, the rates here are crazy for alot of other people I know, I'm ok w/t mine, but less is more $ for mods!
Yours is a very good premuim! I am about your same age, I got lucky at 338 per year.
$338 PER YEAR????????? In California???? You gotta' be KIDDING!!
At 53, with no accidents, tickets NOTHING for the last 25 years and also have my house and a 2003 Solara with State Farm...........I pay $900 annually, 100/300/100, 500 deductable. Since Sep 99, my premium has gone from $450 to now $900 annually.....for no reason (on my part that is!)
They are breaking me down like a double barrel shotgun.....................
