Hi All. Right after I posted this I Youtubed a few videos that showed me how it works. Coolest thing was a guy using a drywall screw driven into the broken pin to extract it from the seat.
I just rebuilt my whole lower seat chassis last night. The previous owner let the rail bushings go and and the seat slammed forward and back so much it damaged the front lift system and motor. I rebuilt and used all my old wiring and SCM and it all works and I feel like one with the car finally. It was not real bad but enough to bug you.
This panel is the fun one to get in.
To be honest they make a repo part to replace this and it is not that expensive. The switches will transfer over so you do not need them. These pins are know for breaking off. I replace mine a while back when I replaced the bushings and foam.
I would recommend removing the seat from the car to do the work. It is much easier as the seats are so easy to remove. 4 nuts and two wire connectors.
