From everything I understand, the reason for switching to the C6 belts is because they only have a single retractor and thus allows for the seats to slide further backwards for the taller guys who need the extra legroom.

Now, I did cut back the plastic cover on the outer side of the seat base to clear the belt retractor.

I just ordered a set of Competition seats for a C8 yesterday. But they will remain in my new Grand Sport
The C5 I have the seats are more than enough and are in good working condition. I will really need them for the C8 Z52.

I have the same set-up and it works fine. All that's left to do is change out the Lt. Oak belts, for Black units.
