Default Ordered the Z plus Museum Delivery!

Howdy Folks -

I've got the deal done (as in it's sold) with my Supra (it's the highly modified monster in my sig).

Some (.....OK a few.....alright nobody probably :D ) may remember I'm a 3 time previous Vette owner (94, 95 and 99), decided to explore he import scene for a little while (in the interim sold my company which allowed me to get pretty crazy with modifications on my fine eastern import).

Well, I've gotten a little tired of the import "thang", and the wife is trading her Z3 for a 325Ci convertible, so she'll have the sedan-ish type ride, so I decided to get rid of the GS300, and also the Supra. I had a blast building it, but I just want a solid, no hassle daily driver that I can also toss around on my occasional road course outing.

Of course (can I hear an *amen*) the Z06 is the car that perfectly suits my needs. So through some creative selling and trading (resulting in basically no tax on a new car) I'm setup to get a Z.

Considered a used car here and there, but I haven't had a new car in the last few so I figured, what the hell! Now I'll won't think twice about how the car was broken in, any mysterious history, etc.

I also figured, since I may not get another chance, to do the NCM delivery! The wife actually though it was really cool, so she pushed my to go for it. We'll fly up, have the tour, pics, etc., and have a nice long break in drive home! (We'll be taking it home to Vilano Beach, FL).

I wound up getting it for right at $48K which I think is a pretty good deal, I'll be financing just a tiny bit, mainly the small difference in the Supra and the trade amount on the GS (I'm upside down on a little),not much really, if I don't get a great rate on the money, I'll just cash out and be done with it.

Anyway, I guess I'll be on Z06 countdown!

Hmmm...have to start working on that signature

Allright....way to go....the R8C experience will last a lifetime and not to mention a good test of your self-control on the first 500 mile drive from the NCM back home! Congrats!

Thanks to everybody! Yeah, it will be good to get back into a Vette, I sat the TR Z they had in the dealership and thought "Yeah, I remember this, pretty sweet".

BTW, check out my stat:

Over fours year BABY! :D

I had a mild conundrum this afternoon but I think it's resolved, if fact, I think it's even a better situation (thought I might have to take a local car vs. NCM pickup which would be sad....).
