Well i have had my Z06 since last tuesday and i have driven it 520 miles this week. Overall I love this car. I know the car only has 12xx miles on it but the shifter is pretty stiff still. It doesn't like to go into 3rd when speed shifting. and going into 5th i have to push pretty hard. Will that lossen up any or is it always going to be that way. Not a real big concern but just want to know. 2nd the bose sound system kinda sucks IMO is there a big deal switching the speakers and leaving the original deck. One of my friends said there would be a problem with making other speakers compatable with the bose. Is there any truth to this?????
I am glad i chose a Z06. The last thing i want to do is take it to the track and see what i can pull off there.
I never noticed a loosing of my stock shifter, maybe a warranty adjustment? I ended up switching to a Hurst. (Wanted a harder, shorter shift).
Head over to the Audio section... Loads of ideas there. From what I understand there is a converter you can buy but it isn't great. Personally, I ended up switching it all out.

Re: 500 mile write up (RFat16)
IMO, the BOSE system needs more than just a speaker change. If you are looking for a cheap mod to the BOSE system look for the $20 Radio Shack tweeter upgrade on the 'other' forum.
