New to this forum, still figuring out how it works. I have a 2002 yellow Z06. The up shift light never comes on in the HUD. The book says it shoud work but the dealer tells me it doesn't on the Z06. Is this true. Don't really care about using it, but would like it to work if it's suppose to. Thanks for any info, looks like a good place for vette owners
It should work. I think you may need to change the settings that determine what you see. [the "page" feature] Do you have the tach feature turned on? Many of us use only the MPH and don't have the tach activated.
Again, the shift light should work, but I don't know of anyone who acutally uses it. Are you revving high enough? :D
I have changed the page, I usually run with the speed and and the tach page. I've got my RPM's up many times. Like I said I don't need it, but if it was intended to work I want it to. Already wasted a day trying to get it fixed.
The shift light does work on the Z06. I have the hud displayed with speed, tach and oil pressure and the light does come on, however the 1-2 shift there is not much notice as the engine is revving so quickly. 2-3 and 3-4 you can see it.
I don't know if you need the tach displayed to see it or not.
There is a shift light on the HUD screen and it kicks in at 6250rpms for every gear. I have a 2003 Z06 and use the shift light all the time. Just rev a little higher and you will see it...
I've tried all ways to make it work. When I turn the key on it blinks, I think that usually means there's a problem, does anyone else's do that? Just want to have something to tell the shop. Don't know why they can't call the factory and ask them--oh well
