I want to get a bit more rubber on the back of my Z06. Does anyone know of a company that can add 1" to the stock wheels in the back without compromising the integrity? I'd also like to have the wheels polished at the same time, and maybe even widen the fronts a bit too. I called my local fixrim.com place in the SF Bay Area, but they said they couldn't do it.
Also does anyone know the EXACT specifications I should ask for when ordering the width change? Offset, backspacing, etc so that they'll fit under the stock Z06 rear w/o even mini-tubbing. I'm wanting to put at least a 335 back there as people seem to have done with the CCWs.
There is company in SoCal that does wider reproduction Z06 wheels to allow for fitment of wider rear tires. I don't have the info readily available but will check. Don't really know the offset and what they'll look like. Your primary concern is make sure that they don't stick out to the sides. Not only will it increase your debris field but it really looks like an afterthought and doesn't do justice to the Z06.
Dozer, thanks for asking this man i've been wondering the exact same thing myself. I like the way the ccws look when they stick out a little but would rather have the chrome stock rim look. And i definatly need more meat back there. 335's worked on the CCW"S without a tub, and looked mean!!! :smash:
