[Z06] Blackwing Filter Adapter?

Blackwing Filter Adapter?
On the Group Purchase page there is a 01-03 Blackwing Adapter listed. I assume that it is needed, but what does it adapt? Do I need it for an '03 Z06?

Yes you will need it. It slips over the inlet end of the Blackwing to fit on the MAF. The coupler that comes already on the Blackwing is too small. This coupler is removed and replaced with the larger adapter.

Ask for the black adapter. I've seen them in blue and other colors. I prefer the black since the DBW itself is black. Looks a lot more sanitary when installed.
