Default New RWHP!!

I had my Z tuned today @ MTI. I had the LS1 Edit performed, and I'm very happy with the results. I had previously dyno'd 378 rwhp and when I got their the Z was hot and my baseline dyno was down almost 8 rwhp. See graphs.

The finished product, dyno tuned, was 391.5 rwhp - yes! An increase of 13 rwhp and 13 ft. lbs of torque. I'm open to suggestions on the next mod that may put me over 400 rwhp w/o cracking into the motor....I need 9 rwhp.

the dyno graph was a competitor forum adress, sorry I couldn't post it

Interesting...
I have the same header/cat/X-pipe setup as you. I also have the airbox tie-wrap mod w/ the stock paper filter. It dynoed 367 RWHP, 357 TQ SAE.
I have a Vararam in its box ready to be installed, but I'll be keeping the factory Ti exhaust(STINGERS are too LOUD! )
I'm looking to reach the same 400 RWHP level as you, so this will be interesting to see what other mods can get us there...

BTW, what was your stock RWHP? mine was 356.7, 351 TQ w/ the tie-wrap mod...

J-Rod, your car is an anomoly(in a good way for you ;) )
I know of no one else that pull your cars # w/ the zip-tie mod--441 FWHP--you definitely got a good one...

BTW, hood was open

:hurray: :hurray:

Only 9 to go.

I suspect if you disconnect the rear section entirely, you will get there. I did just that on my Coupe and picked up another 12HP. Loud as hell, but who cares at the track. I made some short turndowns to avoid blasting the rear spring with exhaust.

I'd have to agree with TT on that as a track option. I found a thread over on the other site that a user disconnected his exhaust and found about 7HP...

As for my gain, McRat dyno'd after his and got a 10HP gain. As I said, sorry you didn't get more. But my reason for asking about the hood is that I had wondered if the hood being opened might have skewed my results a bit, so I wanted to find if closing the hood may have reduced the number a bit.

I was thinking of going with the tpis headers and the random cats. I have the stingers now. Would you happen to have a sound clip? Is it alot louder then with just the stingers? Does it pop and gurgle when letting of the gas like it does with just the stingers?

Yeah, the popping gets louder I think. The headers give it a different sound, a moderate change....but great increase in the performance arena. I don't have sound clip unfortunately.
