At long last I join the ranks of the elite and traded in my 1999 Hardtop on a 2003 Z06. :yesnod:
I am surprised about the level of refinement and overall balance of the car. My 1999 Hardtop had suspension mods (bilsteins, t1 sway bars) and I think would ultimately out handle the Z06, but it came at a sacrifice of streetability. The Z06 handles great, but without giving up the streetability that T1 bars and stiff shocks will take away. It makes me wonder if I should just add big wheels, lower the car, and leave on the stock suspension.
Between the extra poines and the mn12 tranny, the car is blast and feels much faster too boot. Overall I can't quit :D and very impressed with the car. :yesnod: :yesnod:
Well I kept the HRE 545's from my hardtop. 18x10 fronts with 275x35x18 Pilot Sports and 18x12 rears with 335x30x18. I think between the wheels and lowering it, that maybe all the handling I want without putting on the T1 bars and bilsteins.
I think you are right my car handles awesome and all that it has done is lowered it on stock wheels. The all around suspension is better in the Z06 than any other Vette.

Nice choice of wheels. I'd LOVE to have a set of those.
