There seems to have been considerable discussion/debate about the benefits of dyno tuning with mild modifications. Therefore, I thought that it would be beneficial to use a pole to get a sense for how effective dyno tuning has been on lighlty modded cars. Here goes:
After installing an aftermarket intake, ehaust system, and/or headers on my 02 or 03 Z06,
1. I did not have my Z06 dyno tuned.
2. I had my Z06 dyno tuned, and I believe the tuning made little, or no,
difference in obtaining or maintaining the benefits from the modification.
3. I had my Z06 dyno tuned, and I believe the tuning was necessary to
obtain or maintain the benefits from the modifications.

Re: Dyno Tuning Poll (dvickrey)
Mine's been strapped at least a few times and I do my own tuning. Proper tuning requires both dyno data and street/strip data. Things change on the road in the real world.
I'd say there's at least a good 10-15RWHP left on the table from the factory. Even without headers/intake/etc a good LS1Edit should put down some better numbers. With the goodies? Expect a bit more.
Is it worth it? You decide.
For me, I'm heavily modded (ok, a blower and headers), so yes, I had it tuned purrrrfectly by Morgan. I'll take the 607.1RWHP thanks. CYA!

After adding a Blackwing I found to get the full potential out of it I had to tune it. On the bottom end I gained ~10 RWHP and TQ but lost it on the top end. With the Predator and some tweaking default settings I kept the gain on the low end and was able to pick up an extra 16 on the topend
