I am a new member here on this forum. And had a couple questions on the new Z06 that my Dad & I just got. Although right now I am just wondering
what do you guys out there use as a quality car cover? I know typically people like to stick with OEM, but I called my local dealer, and it cost $302.00 for a car cover, and I have a feeling I can get a better quality one than it, for less money.
The Z06 is mostly my dads, I work on my own car (3000gt) incase you guys want to see some pics of it you can go to my site at http://www.alltel.net/~tjones2309
I'd say don't buy any covers if your car painted dark.
I've used two covers - noah and wolf on my 99. After about a month of using I found lots of fine clearcoat scratches caused by them. It would be much more visible on a black or red car.
So now I just wax and don't worry about it - four months and no scratches yet.
I've got Wolf covers for my Coupe and for the Z06.
Just make sure your car is clean BEFORE you put the cover on (California Duster, etc....).
