[Z06] parking break problem

parking break problem
I recently picked up my car from the shop to have the alignment adjusted under warranty. When the mechanic brought the car up to me, he pulled the parking break and there was a loud pop (sounded like something hiting a metal pan) from underneath the car. The noise was obvoiusly due to the actuation of the break as he noted. I did not have time to leave it with them to have checked out. It seems to work o.k. at this time.

I have also had this problem. It has done this quite a few times, maybe once every few days. I have no clue what the problem is, but if you find out please let me know. I have yet to take it to the dealer, but if I do, I'll fill you in on what's up.
