Ok Guy's need a little help. Wanted to drain my tranny and put in some D4 Red line trans fluid. Got it all jacked up and crawled under and couldn't find the damn drain plug on the 6 speed. This is my first shot at a 6 speed and I feel sorta dumb. Now if we want to go at a Munsie or T 10 I can hang with the best, but this has me a little up tight. A little help would greatly be accepted. Thanks..All this is taking place on a 02 Z06..
Seems like I remember it to be in the rear of the tranny more towards the pass side. If I remember right the bolt screws into the back of the tranny on the bottom,Seems like it even has" drain "cast in next to it. It has been a while so I might be wrong.
Partner, this is about the best blow by blow description I could have ask for. I really do appreciate you guy's helping out with the info. Thanks again... :seeya
I put in the Redline after a lot of discussion with Tremec and C4C5. It has helped out some but I really think that time, perhaps coupled with the Redline, is making the difference. I put the Redline in at around 1500 miles car now has about 2600. Tremec didn't recommend the Redline as it was creating harder shifts for some people (I don't know how but they/he blamed it on the friction modifiers) his recommendation was Mobile 1 and I may try this after 5K miles. Right now I am happy with the Redline.
