HAS ANYONE PUT THE BF GOODRICH G-FORCE 315/30-18 'S ON BACK OF THERE ZO6 RIMS. IT SEEMS THAT A 30 SERIES TIRE IS A EXTREMLY LOW PROFILE TIRE. THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE.

:chevy :mad
There have been a bunch of people that put those tires on their stock wheels, like I have said in other posts I just mounted a set of 335/30 18's on my stock Z06 wheels. They fit on the car no problem, and they look more aggressive not like mud tires just more aggressive.
335's on a 10.5" Z06 rim??? EEEEEEEEEEEEEK. That is way too wide of a tire for a 10.5" rim, especially when the tire barely has any sidewall to absorb the extra width. I wouldnt be taking any corners too quickly!!

Glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks that's cause for concern......... :skep:
The widest tire, while it looks more impressive is not the determining factor in performance. Tires are designed to work on a specific rim width otherwise the contact patch is stretched or ballooned. Stick with stock sizes especially for a street car. If you want wider, get aftermarket rims that are wider to accomodate the added width of the tire.
It does fit on the wheel. The Michelin Pilots are not a true 335/30 they are more like a 315. So fitting them on the stock rim is a none issue because they fit like a charm. The contact patch is larger as well so the traction is even better than with the 295's

Probably so, but it could depend on the tire. Keep in mind that the 335 is section width, not necessarily tread width.
The Michelin had a rim protecting design in which the sidewall overhangs the rim lip by a small amount. And the rumor is that Michelins run a little small.
Still 335mm is 13.2 inches by my calculations, and that does sound a bit large for a 10.5 inch rim. Considering that the factory considers 11.6 inches ok, and if the Michelins do have some breathing room due to design and fudge factor, you could probably take that up another inch - give or take. So it is close.
I'd tend to agree with you though - it is pushing it!
