Default how long does it take to fix the STUCK CLUTCH problem?

The reason I ask is I made an appointment with a local dealer because my clutch showed some symptoms of sticky clutch at high speed yesterday. Now I can not duplicate the problem at lower speeds only over 100+ MPH this happens. Now for those of you who have gotten this done did you have to take the dealer out for a spin to show this or they took your word for it?

2nd the dealer said that if I drop my car off tomorrow I should be able to pick it back up tomorrow as well after he fixes this Clutch problem? Now don't they have to order parts or something for this? Is he trying to BS me? I will take the bulletin # and the print out of the bulletin with me for just in case but what else you guys had to do to get the clutch fixed?

3rd I also have to get my rocking chair fixed and my oil consumption. If I drive car real hard it drinks up oil but only when i drive it in a Autocross or do alot of street racing, not with normal day to day driving? Is this normal behavior for a 2k1 Z?

mine took one day to fix but three days for parts to be ordered and arrive..you want the full assembly (clutch..pressure plate..slave etc) and if you have LT headers they will have to remove them to install (at your expense..around $300)...make sure dealer has done this before.

You shouldn't need for them to take a test drive. The service advisory calls for them to disassemble the clutch system to check for "hourglassing" of the slave cylinder and for checking the bolts tightness on the pressure plate. The diagnosis and fix will take a full day if all parts are in stock.

I had mine done as well...then went to a track event and it's happening again. I notice that it only really happens if you depress the clutch all the way to the floor at high speed (which is really not necessary, just habit). If you only depress the clutch 1/2 way, you shouldn't have the problem. But I would still try to get it fixed.
