Finally got a chance to see what the car was doing.Phoenix Perfomance(they
prepare cars for John Heinrecy)brought it's mobile dyno to the Corvette Club
of Delaware Valley's Annual Cavalcade of Corvettes. With only engine mods
of Blackwing intake and Corsa Indy exhaust, car produced 364 hp and 357 ft-lbs.It sounded absolutely awesome at WOT.I was sort of expecting these numbers since the car runs 12.44 sec @ 113 mph.I plan on having Phoenix
"tweak" the engine program for a little more.
Good numbers! Was this on a Mustang (two-roller) or a Dyno-Jet (one roller) dyno? Are your numbers SAE or STD hp?
Just wondering - I had mine dynoed on both types of dyno - I got my sig numbers on the Breathless Mustang dyno.
best regards -

FYI, the Breathless mustang dyno is notorious for being very optimistic. The Dynojet 248 with SAE corrected readings is the way to go for a true read in my humble opinion.
I made 370.8 with just a K&N and the intake silencer lid removed
I add this not to be a nice guy, but because I truly believe that the cold air intakes on the market are of questionable value.
=)

Weedo & Jackmott,
Of course you are right. The car is certainly capable of much more with a better driver. The 12.44 time was with a 60' time of 1.944sec.I've been experimenting with tire pressure which seems to have a considerable effect. One of the problems has been lack of track time since 4 out of 6 events
were cancelled due to rain.Another big item affecting the ET is that I don't powershift. This car is my only daily driver and I can't afford to break it.Right
now I just plan(if the weather ever improves) to work on my launch.
Any suggestions are more than welcome.
Richy, don't get me wrong, i think that's a GREAT time for the power you're putting down. I'm hoping for low 12's with the Supercar tires putting down 392HP. Then again, our tracks here suck, the weather is hot, and I have NO track time with this car. So I think you're doing great!
Richy, nice numbers. 1.94 is a good 60' on some days depending on track conditions it's very good. The best I can offer as far as advice for better 60' is time trials, when your weather clears. Trying the differant combinations of clutch release speed combined with differant fuel increese speed can only be learned from actual runs, the number of combinations to try goes up expotentialy when you add in tire pressure and launch rpm. No way around practice and trial and error with limited traction vettes. Ric
