Strange topic, I know, but I came across the latest MINI pull-out ad in one of the car rags this past weekend. They have little black static-cling stickers of different cars/SUV profiles. There are a couple that are obviously Vipers. I just thought someone might be interested in provoking a Viper if they're up to it. The stickers go on the window like the fighter plane "kill" emblems of yore.
Sounds cool, but I think I'll add a FEW more mods before I try to provoke a viper. I don't want to be like stupid v6 mustang owners who do their car up with cobra stuff ( I hated that so much! :mad ). Gotta be able to back up what I put out :yesnod: .
I'm not putting any on my car. Nevertheless, I thought I would point out that the stickers are shaped like Vipers since there is a pretty big rivalry between the Viper and Vette guys. I wasn't looking for your approval of the idea. Gotta ask though... If you saw a Vette with a couple of them on the window and saw the person getting out of their car, would you confront them and tell them what a "terribly stupid idea" that is? I didn't think so. Why say something in e-mail that you wouldn't say in person?
Putting "kill" stickers on a car seems ridiculous IMO. There is always someone faster i.e. my pops Viper GTS and yes my gf's TT Supra for now can flat out spank my car. Better to be slient, but deadly when it comes to some friendly racing. I hope no one starts putting stickers on their Vettes. Vettes are classy, gorgeous cars, no need for the stickers.

LOL You really don't know me, because I probably would say something! Maybe......."was your car in 2Fast 2Furious?" or "did your kid decorate your car?" I don't think the rivalry is quite what you think. I went from Vette to Viper to Vette to Viper. Almost ALL of my friends have Vettes, we all respect each others' cars. It does take a pretty healthy C5 to hang with a Viper IMHO, but there are a lot of C5s that have taken their vitamins! Would you think it was cool if I had about 10 little Corvette's on my window? No, that would be dumb! BTW- there would be little pictures of my car on a couple of Vettes around here too! :cry That's dumb also! :seeya
Kill stickers would give me a reason to jump on you. Probably not a good idea... :nono: :nono:
Damn that is one nasty toy you have there  Just when I thought I was done modding the ZO :cry Well after having it back for the month I'm used to the power time to do more mods  Being Cartek is so close I guess I'll have to pay them a visit :smash: Like I said sweet Viper dude
DDSLT5,
Well the straight answer is, the best the car has ever run in the 1/4 was an 11.6@129mph. The reason it did so poorly was it was my first time at a 1/4 mile track and I was on street tires with my single stage.(560whp). Since then I have honed my track skills and managed to get my 1/8th mile time from 7.70's (which is what I ran on that 11.60 pass) down to a 7.1 @102mph on perelli p-zero's. Since then I added a second stage that is activated by a speed meter at 60mph. The car will put the first stage to the ground in first
gear. At 55mph I make my second gear shift, and another 100 shot comes in through the rest of the gears. I haven't been to the track with the dual stage set up but I would like to see a 6.7-6.8 at around 108mph in the 1/8th on p-zeros. With any luck and a little 1/4 mile experience hopefully that will equate to a 10 sec street tire pass sometime in the near future.
