Could you describe the vacuum cap you installed? Are there sizes to it or some other more specifics to describe it so I can get one?? :thumbs:

at the your local auto parts store they should have a whole rack of them. you should be able to eye which ones will fit and look good. remember they are rubber so it doesnt have to be a perfect fit really.

as for reception, I usually listen to CDs if anything at all. To restate, of course a vaccum cap wont be near as clear as the stock antenna, or any size for that matter, but in my case in the middle of the city when I do listen to the radio everything comes through clear. perhaps with lots of hills or mountains around things might not be so simple. never thought there would be such a debate on this topic :crazy: :p:

The shave off 8-9 " antenna mod is the way I think I'm going to go. I know everyone has said FM is fine, but what about AM. I can't miss my daily dose of Limbaugh and Hannity. :flag
