I just noticed today on my 2003 Z06 the windshield molding has a big gap on the outside passenger side. It's enough of a gap that you can make it move by pushing it in. The drivers side doesn't do this. Anyone else have this? I didn't notice any leaks after washing the car.
Are you referring to the trim that sticks out above the glass on both sides to channel the washer fluid and rain and carry it upward instead of into open windows?
I realize you said one side only, but are you sure?
The 'gapless' side would appear to be different from the norm. I'll bet it's 1-2 mm deep and doesn't look as scary.
There should be a gap of about 2-3 mm above the glass at the driver/passenger pillars.
True.

I just noticed the same problem on my 03 Z06. It's on the bottom of the windshield plastic molding that attaches to the passenger side. The gap is like 1/8" inch wide and about 1 inch length. I don't like how it looks. I'm waiting to see if it'll go down or else I'll take it to be replaced the entire molding later on. :banghead:
No it's not the bottom it's the top (or outer), molding on the sides of the windshield. The pass side sticks out farther and you can move it in by pushing on it. The drivers side does not stick out this far.
If anyone has a fix for this let me know as I don't want to take my car into the dealership. They only make things worse. I'm starting to wonder if a clip broke off because on the other side you can't push the molding down like this.
